Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) has officially launched the UAE’s first paper and tissue business group, DuPAT, to promote the promotion of “Made in the UAE” products in domestic and international markets.
The new group will focus on promoting the UAE’s $2 billion corrugated board packaging (including tissue industry) to reach new growth milestones, while enhancing the brand value of “Made in the UAE” in various markets.
The Dubai Paper and Tissue Business Group (DuPAT) was officially launched at the ongoing Propaper Dubai 2024, and its purpose is to support local companies in the UAE to increase their market share and explore new export markets. At the same time, the group is actively seizing the market demand growth opportunities brought by the increased awareness of health, environment and sustainability in the tissue, hygiene products and paper packaging industries.
The group currently has nearly 30 founding members and plans to recruit more than 300 members. The industry body will also organize training programs for practitioners to improve their skills and encourage participants in the UAE paper industry to adopt the latest manufacturing technologies and carry out research and development activities aimed at innovation and improvement.
