Lay out a clean, flat surface (changing table, bed, or floor).
Have a fresh diaper, wipes, and any necessary creams or powders nearby.
Lay Baby Down: Gently place your baby on their back.
Remove the Dirty Diaper:
Unfasten the tabs on the old diaper.
Lift your baby’s legs and slide the diaper out from underneath.
Wipe and Clean:
Use baby wipes to gently clean your baby’s bottom.
Lift the legs to reach all areas.
Pat dry with a clean cloth.
Apply Cream or Powder (if needed):
If your baby has diaper rash, apply a diaper cream or powder
Position the New Diaper:
Slide the clean diaper under your baby.

Fasten the Diaper:
Pull the front of the diaper up between your baby’s legs.

Check for Comfort and Fit:
Ensure the diaper isn’t too loose or too tight.
The waistband should be at the belly button.
The leg cuffs should be snug but not digging into the skin.
Dispose of the Dirty Diaper:
Roll it up and secure with the tabs.
Dispose of it in a diaper pail or trash bin.
